Senior ETL Migration Specialist - SSIS to IICS & Microsoft Fabric
Contract Remote-Flexible

We're looking for a hands-on data integration specialist to own the migration of legacy SSIS workloads into Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS) and Microsoft Fabric. You'll work independently across multiple migration tracks - from analysis and design through build, testing, and cutover - with minimal day-to-day supervision.

What you'll do

• Review existing SSIS packages, dependencies, schedules, and SQL logic to document current-state ETL behavior and migration requirements
• Design and build IICS CDI solutions including mappings, tasks, connections, parameters, and reusable components
• Implement Microsoft Fabric pipelines and integrate them into the target data platform
• Develop SQL scripts for extraction, transformation, loading, and validation
• Tune IICS CDI jobs and SQL logic for performance, scalability, and operational efficiency
• Create and execute test cases and data reconciliation checks; support UAT, defect resolution, and post-migration stabilization
• Assist with cutover planning and hypercare activities
• Produce comprehensive documentation - mapping specs, design docs, runbooks, and data lineage records
• Provide regular status updates and participate in design reviews and working sessions
• Support knowledge transfer to internal teams through documentation and walkthroughs

What we're looking for

• Deep hands-on experience with SSIS - package design, dependencies, scheduling, and configuration
• Strong IICS CDI expertise - mappings, tasks, connections, pushdown optimization, and orchestration
• Microsoft Fabric experience including pipeline development and platform integration
• Advanced SQL skills across extraction, transformation, loading, and performance tuning
• Proven ability to manage complex migration workstreams independently
• Solid understanding of ETL patterns - incremental loads, error handling, logging, and recovery
• Strong documentation skills and clear communication with both technical and business stakeholders
• Experience with UAT support, cutover planning, and post-migration stabilization
