Job Title: General Production Worker Job Description

The general production worker operates manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently while following standard operating procedures to support electrode and cell assembly production. This role maintains high quality standards, accurately records production data, and helps keep the work area clean and orderly. Depending on the department, the position may involve working in a cleanroom environment, wearing full PPE or respirators, lifting heavy materials, and using stairs frequently.

Responsibilities
  • Operate and monitor production equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Follow all safety rules and consistently wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including cleanroom PPE or respirators when required.
  • Inspect raw materials, in-process products, and finished electrodes or assemblies to ensure they meet established quality standards.
  • Accurately record production data, equipment readings, and quality checks in designated systems and logs.
  • Identify and report basic equipment or process issues and assist with troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
  • Operate industrial equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks to move raw materials and semi-finished products safely and efficiently.
  • Perform routine cleaning of machines and work areas to maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment.
  • Carry out minor maintenance tasks on equipment as directed to support reliable production operations.
  • Follow written instructions and SOPs carefully to ensure consistent and compliant production processes.
  • Support team members and collaborate with other departments as needed to meet production goals.
Essential Skills
  • Ability to operate and monitor production equipment while following standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Comfort lifting up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Ability to stand for 12-hour shifts.
  • Capability to read, understand, and follow SOPs and written instructions accurately.
  • Experience or strong comfort working in general production, general labor, or manufacturing environments.
  • Ability to work safely with cleanroom requirements, including wearing full PPE or respirators when needed.
  • Basic machine operation skills for production and assembly processes.
  • Attention to detail for inspecting materials and products to maintain quality standards.
  • Ability to operate industrial equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks, or willingness to learn.
  • Commitment to following safety rules and maintaining a safe work environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Prior experience in production, general labor, or assembly roles.
  • Experience working in a cleanroom environment.
  • Familiarity with recording production data and equipment readings in logs or digital systems.
  • Basic troubleshooting skills for equipment or process issues.
  • Experience with routine cleaning and minor maintenance of machines.
  • Strong reliability and ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts.
  • Willingness to perform tasks that may involve heavy lifting and frequent stair use.

Work Environment

This role follows a rotating 12-hour shift schedule of 5:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. or 5:00 p.m.–5:00 a.m., working Monday–Wednesday and Friday–Sunday on a rotating pattern between 36-hour and 48-hour workweeks. The production environment includes electrode and cell assembly operations and may require full cleanroom attire, including PPE and respirators. The position involves extended periods of standing, frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds, and potential continuous use of stairs. You will work around industrial equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks, as well as production machinery, in a structured, safety-focused facility that emphasizes cleanliness, organization, and adherence to SOPs.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50/hr.
