Job Title: General Production Worker

Job Description

The General Production Worker operates on the bottling line within a manufacturing environment, handling a variety of containers and supporting all stages of the production and packaging process. This role involves loading empty bottles, working with labeling equipment, packaging finished products, and performing general production tasks that require consistent physical activity and safe handling of materials.

Responsibilities

  • Work on the bottling line and in the production area to support daily manufacturing operations.
  • Load empty bottles, including gallons, drums, and smaller containers, onto the production line for filling.
  • Place bottles onto labeler machines and monitor the labeling process to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Remove finished, labeled product from the line and place items into boxes for packaging and shipment.
  • Work next to conveyors, safely removing finished product from the line and preparing it for palletizing.
  • Perform general production duties such as packaging, packing, and palletizing as needed.
  • Lift and move materials and products weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Operate or assist with forklift activities when needed, following all safety procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to support safe and efficient production.
  • Arrive on time, be ready to work at the start of the shift, and consistently follow work schedules and break times.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and production procedures to ensure high-quality output and a safe workplace.
  • Collaborate with other production, warehouse, and line workers to meet daily production goals.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum of 2+ years of production experience in a manufacturing bottling environment.
  • Hands-on experience working on a bottling line or similar production line.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly and perform physically demanding tasks throughout the shift.
  • Basic experience with forklift operation in a production or warehouse setting (ideally some forklift experience).
  • Experience in general labor, packaging, packing, palletizing, or line work.
  • Strong reliability with a proven track record of consistent attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to follow instructions, adhere to production procedures, and work safely around conveyors and machinery.
  • Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and product quality.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience as a Production Technician or in similar manufacturing roles.
  • Previous work in bottling, wine, alcohol, or related production environments.
  • Comfort operating or working around forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a small production team.
  • Willingness to work occasional Saturdays as production needs require.
  • Flexibility to adjust to seasonal schedule changes and varying start times.

Work Environment

The work environment is a small to mid-sized operation with approximately 25–30 employees, including office staff, sales, operations, drivers, and warehouse personnel. The facility includes a production bottling and palletizing area, a fleet of trucks, tractors, tankers, a trailer, and a straight truck to support logistics. The company is remodeling and constructing a new bonded warehouse to increase storage capacity, reflecting ongoing growth and investment in the business. The role is based on a day shift, typically 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with an expectation to arrive around 6:45 a.m. to be ready to start on the line at 7:00 a.m. During the summer, the shift changes to 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. to begin earlier in hot weather. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays as needed. Employees receive a 30-minute lunch break and two 15-minute breaks, including a morning break at 10:00 a.m. The production area involves working near conveyors, bottling equipment, labeling machines, and palletizing stations, requiring appropriate work attire suitable for a manufacturing and warehouse environment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.
