The ideal candidate will have experience managing data products throughout the full product lifecycle and a strong understanding of data governance, analytics, and cloud modernization initiatives. This position will play a key role in ongoing efforts to modernize data platforms and support migration to Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Job Description
As a Data Product Manager, you will be responsible for defining, prioritizing, and delivering data products that support supply chain and logistics business functions. You will partner closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, gather requirements, and drive the successful implementation of data solutions that enable informed business decision-making.
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, reporting teams, data analysts, and technology partners to identify business challenges and define data needs.
  • Translate business objectives and analytical requirements into clear product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and prioritized deliverables.
  • Own and manage the data product backlog, balancing business value, risk, dependencies, and delivery commitments.
  • Develop a strong understanding of business processes, data sources, and data flows to support effective decision-making and issue resolution.
  • Partner with data engineering, reporting, and source-system teams to coordinate dependencies and ensure successful project delivery.
  • Proactively identify risks, roadblocks, and dependencies, escalating concerns and communicating impacts to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Lead user acceptance testing, data validation, and implementation activities to ensure solutions meet business requirements.
  • Establish and monitor expectations for data quality, accuracy, completeness, timeliness, and usability.
  • Support data modernization initiatives and cloud migration efforts, including the transition of data pipelines, datasets, and reporting solutions to Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Communicate product priorities, project status, decisions, risks, and upcoming work to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Drive data product adoption and continuous improvement through stakeholder engagement and feedback.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Supply Chain, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience managing data products, data platforms, or analytics-focused initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to gather business requirements and translate them into actionable product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Experience managing and prioritizing product backlogs in an Agile environment.
  • Strong understanding of data management concepts, including data quality, governance, integration, and reporting.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, data engineers, analysts, and technology teams.
  • Ability to analyze complex business processes and identify data-driven solutions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present information to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience supporting data testing, validation, and implementation activities.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, dependencies, and stakeholder expectations in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting supply chain, logistics, reverse logistics, transportation, or retail operations.
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Familiarity with data warehousing, ETL/ELT processes, and modern data architectures.
  • Experience working with reporting and analytics tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar platforms.
  • Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, or other product management methodologies.
  • Experience leading data modernization, migration, or digital transformation initiatives.
  • Understanding of data engineering workflows and large-scale enterprise data ecosystems.
